Synched with the School Year
week-by-week programs designed to keep the learning (and fun!) going all summer long
The LAB Summer Adventure Camp series will take place all summer long! Programming is specifically designed to prevent the dreaded "summer slump" and to keep kids joyfully engaged with the learning process between school years. All Summer Adventure Camps will be booked on a week-by-week basis for the months of June, July and August.
Since LAB adventures and bus hubs will be primarily located in Loudoun County, all adventure days will coincide with the Loudoun County Public School summer calendar. You can find the LCPS 2023/2024 Academic Calendar HERE.
Weekly Cohorts
weeklong camps with a new adventure to look forward to every. single. day.
Adventures will be planned around standards-enriching weekly themes -- with five exciting places to visit, multiple exciting experts to meet, and one exciting, student-centered project each and every week.
Explorers can pick and choose differently themed weeklong camps, each composed of 12 curious little learners and 2 conductors to guide them on their adventures. Camps will pick up at drop off from a bus hub designed for centralized convenience since we will be travelling to so many exciting destinations across Loudoun County and beyond (find bus hub information HERE).
10am - 3 pm; Monday - Friday
pick-up from a central spot & drop-off right back... 5 exciting hours later
Harold the magic bus will pull up to our designated bus hub to meet with families and whisk explorers away on the day's adventure. En route to the day's planned adventure location, explorers will have time to eat a morning snack and review the learning goals for the day. They will then arrive on site where they will meet someone, make something -- and, eventually, return back to the bus hub with smiles and learning stories to share!
The LAB morning pick-up time will be 10:00am; drop-off will be at 3:00pm. Explorers will eat a picnic lunch on site each day and snacks on the drives to and from our daily adventure location (so a packed lunch, snacks, and plenty of water are requested from home each day!).
